Hola! Como esta? Welcome back to my blog. Since I am here stuck on bed and longing for that much-awaited adventure after this lock-down, I’ll just let my mind wander tonight. I’ll close my eyes, spread my wings, and soar up high over doubts and uncertainties of what’s going around. I believe this will be over one day, and we can freely go around again. We will be winners, again. Right now, I am actually thinking about something new to try – a new adventure. But since, I can’t think of any yet in mind, I’ll just introduce a special friend to you who never lets fear stop him from his adventure cravings, not even being penniless (haha), not even this quarantine! However, let me first emphasize the difference between a winner and a whiner. When faced with a great challenge, a winner stretches, while the whiner shrinks. So you see, a winner loves to try something new even if it is difficult. That’s what separates him from the rest.

Wanted: Winners!
We all need that friend or shall I say, circle of friends who are WINNERS – those who have high tolerance for pressure. Winners love to be with winners, as well. They have that burning desire to do something which could change their lives – something which could actually make a difference.
You know what whiners couldn’t see that winners could? The reward of adventure. Not only adventure, but a very exciting adventure which can never be acquired if not giving your 100% effort to it. Now, who wouldn’t love to be with someone who can go for anything?
Meet Captain Habal-Habal
It’s time to meet David van Teeseling, half Dutch half Filipino-Ilonggo, alias Captain Habal-Habal.

Not only that David is big, he also plays big. If there’s a line that could best describe him, it will be: someone not settling for a life less than he is capable of living.
Try something new even if it’s difficult
I know a lot of people who are afraid to take a chance because they think that being fearless is dangerous. But this is not the case with David a.k.a Captain Habal-Habal. For him, what’s more dangerous is not taking the risk to try something you always wanted to try. Well, it’s true because if you do nothing, nothing happens as well.
I guess the only time David rejected an adventure was when I asked him to join me for a 2-AM trip to South Cebu (haha). He is the first person who always approves of this kind of adventure, and when he said no, I went alone. Understandable because I only sent an invite 2 hrs prior to the trip. Yes. I go spontaneous sometimes and it works out better than the planned ones! It was epic (haha).
…and when I say something new, it could be…
exploration to the unknown

PARAGLIDING!

So, you see. David’s not going to experience all these if he’s not willing to take risks. How sad it is for people to play small just because they are afraid to stretch themselves – afraid of being uncomfortable. There is no passion and fulfillment found in playing small.

If you are like David here who is always willing to try something new even if it is difficult, you may want to get to know him more and might as well join him in his adventures and taking big risks. If the answer is yes, what are you waiting for? David is waiting!

This guy looks like he is having the time of his life. I would love to do as he does, but I guess I am too old for that kind of adventures now. I will check out his IG profile.
