Cebu is one of the most developed and prosperous provinces in the Philippines. Well, it has the prime attractions both in northern and southern parts. A lot of factors are making Cebu as one of the most sought-after places in the country by both local and foreign tourists. But, how can we say it’s a tourist attraction without mentioning the must-visit restaurants. When you’re not a local, finding a good restaurant especially at night can be difficult. Don’t worry because Busay in Cebu has a lot to offer. One of the must-visit restaurants at night in Busay, Cebu is the Top of Cebu. As the name suggests, it is located at the top of Cebu where you can have a good view of the city. Daytime or nighttime, whether you are with your family, friends or special someone, Top of Cebu can give you an unforgettable dining experience.

HOW TO GET TO TOP OF CEBU
My best friends and I went the other night to Top of Cebu to have some sort of reunion and an advanced birthday celebration. Although getting there is a little pricey because there are no direct jeepney, and it is somehow not accessible from the city proper, we never regretted because of what it had to offer. I admit it was really difficult to go there especially when you are in a big group and don’t have a private vehicle.
In our case, we first decided to ride a taxi going to JY Mall in Lahug. There in front of JY Mall, you can find habal-habal (motorcycles) that will transport you to Top of Cebu. It was rush hour during that time, and we couldn’t find a taxi. After 30 minutes of waiting, we luckily found one (an Innova type of taxi) that can bring us all (we are 7) directly to Top of Cebu. We gave him P1500 (roundtrip). This fee was somehow a gift to him for waiting for us to finish our dinner. Although we could have just ride habal-habal, since we are a big group, the taxi was much more convenient given that it rained also later that night. Thank God!
However, if you wish to save more, you can ride habal-habal in front of JY as mentioned and pay P100 to P150 (roundtrip per person). It really depends on you on how well you bargain.
THE EXPERIENCE
Being there at night gets it more romantic and intimate, especially when you get to witness the majestic view of the city lights and feel the cool breeze with your family or special someone.

When you enter the restaurant, a big wall painting of the map of Cebu province will welcome you.

The second one to welcome us was this acoustic singer confidently serenading the audience with romantic love songs while they enjoy their food and the majestic view of the city lights.

The restaurant has a good number of armies delivering great and fast service to customers. They serve all-time favorite Filipino food. Aside from that, they also serve American and French dishes.
If you wish to have a closer view of the city lights, there are also tables set one floor down. However, the problem in this area is when it rains, people have no choice but to evacuate. That night we went there, it rained.

As mentioned, it rained that night for a few minutes only. After the rain, fog started to envelope the place – how beautiful.

THE FAREWELL
After eating, of course, we couldn’t let the moment pass without taking a picture with the city lights. Although it was just a short night for all of us, the gathering we had left something to look back in the future. We may be distant from that night on, but the friendship is cherished and is made to last. Not to forget the year added to Allen’s – HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALLEN! <3
