Have you ever asked yourself this question: Is what I’m doing the best use of my life? If you want to make an impact with your life, you need to one thing: You need to get full control of your time. Your time means your life, and if you do not learn how to manage your time, it is for sure you won’t go very far in your life.
Do you know what the Bible says about it?
Ephesians 5:15-17 New International Version (NIV)
15 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise,16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
The truth is we all have the same amount of time in every week. That’s 168 hours to be exact. Now, it is what you do with these 168 hours that counts. You only have numbered days allotted to live in this world, and if you blow them, you have blown it! If you don’t get the best use of your time, you are wasting your life. So, you have to stop and ask yourself, “Is this the best use of my time? or Is this the best use of my life?”
We don’t have time for everything.
However, the good news is that God does not expect us to do everything. So, do not feel guilty about it if you feel like you can’t do it all. In the first place, there are actually only a few things worth doing.
Thus, become an effective person.
An effective person figures out what is essential in his life and what is trivial. He spends more time doing the important things, and less time doing the latter. We can never really eliminate the trivial things in life, but we can reduce them. It may sound easy, but it is really difficult to choose: what’s the best and what’s the easiest? These two are completely different. You will know it when you are tired. Why? It is because when you are tired, you don’t want to do the best thing, right? You want to do what is easy.
So, take some rest.
Get some rest. If you don’t get enough rest, you will never have the mental, physical, and emotional strength to declare “I am going to do the right thing, instead of the easy thing.”
Don’t waste your life.
We are not meant to settle for the second best. You are bound to achieve the greatest because you are uniquely made, and you were not only created just to coast around. Purpose directs us. We have a mission to fulfill. That starts with the questions, “Is what I am doing the best use of my life?”

Great post. I try to make sure I get enough rest so I can function: drive, write for my blog and do my regular job. It can be hard to juggle everything as you continue to add more. I feel very inspired now which usually leads to less sleep, lol, but true.
